A Myth Coming Alive as Jatayupara Sculpture in Kerala

Jatayupara Sculpture: Jatayu is the largest bird sculpture in the world found at Chadayamangalam in Kollam, Kerala. It relates to the Ramayana, the Indian epic. Chadayamangalam is a theme park one-of-its-kind located from Thirucananthapuram around 50 km and has amalgam of elements including technology, mythology, adventure, art, culture, and wellness. The interesting feature here is the Jatayu bird sculpture. As per mythology, Jatayu died while saving Sita( Lord Rama’s wife), when the demon king of Lanka, Ravana, was kidnapping her in his flying chariot. Opening Time&Tickets

Jadayu Park opening times are from 9.30 am to 5:30 pm for Monday to Sunday. Tickets are bought from the ticket office or you can book online in advance.

Jadayu Para Nature Park entrance fee is INR 400. The cable car ride is INR 400 to reach on Jadayu Rock top.
